JUST
RELEASED: Under Her Spell: The Viardot Effect
-- by Duelin' Sopranos, with Mary Dibbern, pianist from Paris, France,
and produced by conductor Mary Chun of San Francisco. The
collection contains 12 duets and 6 solo art songs, created or
arranged by Pauline Viardot and the many composers and/or
poets she influenced during the 19th Century.
The
24-page CD booklet includes French lyrics, translations,
photographs, and an introduction by Carolyn S. Goff, Ph.D., who
completed her doctoral dissertation on the works of Pauline Viardot.
The

along with a few sample sounds. You can find the CDs in
selected outlets in and around the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver,
Washington areas. They will also be available at our concerts.
